AUDITIONS & SHOWS
NexGen Youth Theatre provides multiple types of performance opportunities, Spring and Fall MainStage Productions, Summer Intensive Studio Programs, and NexGen ReWind, a cabaret series highlighting our alumni.
MAINSTAGE
Ages 15-22
NexGen Youth Theatre's two yearly MainStage productions are performed in Off-Broadway Theatres around New York City. The students receive technique training through preparation for a full musical, and work with professional teaching artists, directors, choreographers, technicians, and designers throughout the process. Our MainStage Productions are fully produced shows with costumes, set, lighting and sound.

SUMMER
INTENSIVE
Ages 8-15
The Summer Intensive is a two week, full day program that rehearses a "Junior" musical in a professional, intimate studio theater in just two weeks. The students get a taste for the fast-paced rehearsal process of a working actor all while working with experienced, professional teaching artists. By utilizing a minimal amount of scenery and props, the focus is on performer growth and technique during the process. The last day culminates in a final performance for family and friends, with each student recieving a show-themed t-shirt and script to take home with them.

NEXGEN REWIND
NexGen Alumni
A cabaret show where NexGen alumni return to the stage in the roles they played way back when in our MainStage series! Debuted at the iconic 54 Below in January 2025, this cabaret series is an evening full of powerhouse numbers and highlights from these iconic musicals, with previous students returning again to their favorite roles.

There are no auditions for NexGen ReWind, members of the NexGen team reaches out as the program for each show is built.
